I tried and succeeded.if it says NTLDR is missing open another computer go to c drive open tools menu->folder options->view tab->show hidden files and folders(click radio button) press ok
three system files will be seen
NTLDR
BOOT.INI
NTDETECT
COPY THREE FILES IN YOUR REMOVABLE DISK AND RESTART CHAGE BOOT SETTINGS TO USB FLASH(PRIORITY 1) THEN FORMAT OR INSTALL WINDOWS OR REPAIR AS U CAN..

Upi;USING FLASH DRIVE TO INSTALL WIN XP

If you are going to reinstall the computer with no CD Room, you can use FLASH DRIVE. In fact, re-install using the Flash Drive is more simple and easy to carry.

The one in need is a CD / DVD and a Windows Installer Flash Drive and a software called WinToFlash which can be downloaded here. This software helps you create a system boot to the Flash Drive.

The Steps to make Bootable Flash Drive :

1. Download wintoflash software first

After download extract WinToFlash

2. Open WinToFlash Application

3. On the Task tab, select the type of Windows that you will enter into the Flash Drive. Then click Run.

4. Insert the CD / DVD of Windows Installer and specify its location via 'setup file path'

5. Insert Flash Drive and also determine its location via 'USB Drive'

6. Then came the License Agreement screen, select 'I Accept' and click Continue

7. Screen appears to format the Flash Drive Click OK.

8. Furthermore, the Windows installer file copy process appears. If this process is complete, you can use it to install Windows.

Flash Drive is ready to install Windows as usual. Do not forget to set the boot sequence of the first Flash Drive via the BIOS, so the computer can read it.
