We had an issue with core switch booting to rommon earlier. We have executed the below command, saved configuration and rebooted. This resolved the problem.
Please configure boot statement using cli, “switch(config)#boot system flash bootflash:cat4500-ipbasek9-mz.122-44.SG.bin” and save the configuration. To confirm if the boot variable has been set properly, you may check the output of ‘show bootvariable’.
Next time the switch reloads, it will come up with the specified image instead of falling into rommon.
